Very, very good question!

I know that in the fictional story The Last Legion, the Legion is referred to as Dragon Legion, but thats fiction and im sure not what your after!

Other than that, i havnt got a clue! I was thinking the Legio IX Hispana, who dissapeared from Spain area towards the end of Roman era, however individual soldiers are still mentioned in history from the Legio IX as being active in politics, councils etc.

So, at a guess, the Last Legion was the Legio IX Hispana, and it was disbanded towards the end of the Roman rule in or around Spain??

Or fiction wise it was Dragon Legion, who were lost in Britain for hundreds of years after Caeser failed to capture the island, only to be rediscovered as the last surviviing legion, and i think they were beaten by King Arthur, with the Sword of Caeser going into a stone and moss covering the "Sword of Caeser" inscription somewhat, so that when looked at it reads "Excalibur" in Latin!

There my only answers i can think of, both probably wrong, but meh.. Poking Tongue
