The Warriors of Troy :: Simuses danish naval history
Posted: Fri Jul 17, 2009 8:13 pm Post subject: Did the British ever return Danish fleet
After the second battle of Copenhagen were the British navy kindly took the Danish navy, as to prevent napoleons grubby french mitts getting hold of it did the British return it after the war.
Napoleon's navy was a navy incompetent, it could never stand up to the might of the British Navies HMS Victory, and the organisation of the British navy was far superior, through their admiralties, then any organisation that had come out from the French.
That is why when the British under Horatio Nelson absolutely annihilated, the French had to go with their stupid idea of a continental system, which epically failed, because merchant still smuggled goods in
At any rate when Russia wanted to trade with England and stopped it, thus came the Russian offensive of Napoleon which failed. Nevertheless the Danish always had their lands that were theres, though their hayday was over.
