Scenario 1: The Court of the Emperor

The Court of the Emperor, otherwise known as the Emperor's Throne Room, sits in the west of the lower level of the Emperor's Palace, which is situated within Troy, protected by her walls, towers and empirical defences and armies.

To enter the Court of the Emperor, one must traverse a long and richly decorated hallway, which is guarded by a row of the finest Emperor's Royal Guards. When one walks down the dark blue and gold carpeted hallway, one is escorted by these Royal Guards who stand sternly on guard, facing eachother on the left and right of the hallway.

When reaching the end of the hallway, there are two very large, mahogany doors, which are marked by the Royal Standard of Troy. Standing left and right of the door are the door handlers, which are the two most elite members of the Emperor's Royal Guard. All members of the Emperor's Royal Guard wear a Navy-Blue uniform, with gold glittering in every possible part of the uniform. They possess a beautifully adorned holster for a magnificent sabre, which is crafted by the finest blacksmiths of Troy. Some are also equipped with fine gunpowder muskets, and other perfect armaments, as it is 1685 A.D.

The Empire of Troy has been at war for a year, due to having to defend itself against a declaration of war. With the support of their allies and defenders-in-arms, the empires of the Order of The Dragon, and that of HELL, fought an enemy who name themselves the Gods of War, or in acronym, GoTW. The war been long-fought, and at this year is nearing to a close. The situation in the empire of Troy is swell, because of plentiful harvests, a strong economical system supported by overseas and local trade, banks, flourishing professional guilds, technological development and amateur to advanced scholarly, theological and philosophical activities within the Trojan Universities. At this moment in time, the Armies of Troy are not as numerous as they used to be, but are nevertheless defending Troy, and its citizens and institutions tirelessly, with their Honour and Courage on the battlefield, with skill and tactical brilliance

Suddenly, Emperor Vladimir marches down the hallway, nodding at his Royal Guards, with Consul on his left. Behind the Emperor and his consul is an entourage of assistants, priests, advisors, and such which follow them down the hallway. The Consul holds in his hands magnificent scrolls which he avidly reads and analyses, perhaps looking for a segment or important part to quote.

Without stopping, the door handlers move to the front of the great doors of the court, and open them wide. This reveals the Court of the Emperor. The Court of the Emperor is completely plated in the finest Trojan gold, with beautiful tiles adorning the floor of the court. A long, large, gold-trimmed velvet carpet adorns the centre of the court, leading from the hallway to the Throne of the Emperor. The spectacle of this long and wide room is representative of the riches of Troy, as it possesses some of the greatest treasures and relics that the realm has seen.

Within the room, are more Emperor's Royal Guards, numbering about 20 in all who stand again, at guard, at the edges of the velvet carpet. All of them are nothing but elite, and protect the Emperor with their lives. These though are armed with the traditional golden pikes of the Court of the Emperor, weapons which are extremely effective in defending the emperor and his court, as it is of these families of guards and the weapons which have defended the court for centuries.

Stewards of the Emperor stand at the ready in fantastic robes for the needs of the emperor. One holds a drink of the finest herbal tea for the Emperor, which was imported from the east from Troy's faithful allies. The court announcer is visible in a dark blue and gold robe, stands near the throne in the court and reads out loud and speaks decrees, royal documents, appendiges or such that the Emperor, the round table, or high echelons of the Head Command Auxilliary wishes read. The court announcer also announces events to the court.

Marching into the room, the Emperor slows, and looks around his beautiful court, and utterly pleased and happy about his surroundings tends to his throne. When reaching the throne, the Emperor sits on a momentous, golden throne decorated with marvelous trimmings, jewels and furnishings. In the middle of the throne are patterned, dark blue cushions which support the Emperor's back and body.

Whence reaching his throne, he quickly glances at the empty throne for his Empress which is situated to his left, and then realises that to his right, the Consul had taken his consular seat which is also adorned gracefully, and beautifully. While doing such, the court speaker exclaims aloud, in a deep and serious tone:

Quote:
"At this eighth hour of the day, the most venerable, most honourable and kind Emperor Vladimir of Troy, and his Consul and their constabulary have entered the Court of the Emperor! The court shall now act as thus"

The Emperor, commences the business of the day by clapping three times in medium succession, which signals the steward to bring forth the item in question, and that is the tea. While the steward moves forward delivering the tea, the Emperor's entourage makes way to the left of the court in a grouped formation, ready for their summons. The Emperor thanks the steward, takes the porcelain teacup and sips his tea. While doing so he looks down the gold-trimmed velvet carpet, and takes in the atmosphere of the morning Trojan court. After taking a few sips of his tea, the Emperor asks his Consul:

Quote:
"Would you care to have some sort of beverage, dear Consul?!"

The Emperor, while eagerly anticipating the response, switches his gaze to the consul and analyses carefully his following reactions....

The Consul realises that the Royal taster has not first sampled the beverage, and a split second of fleeting alarm rises within him, quelled by the immediate knowledge that they are with friends here, very honourable friends, and so he responds positively to his Emperors offer.

Whilst tentatively sipping his drink, the Consuls thoughts are again found drifting towards war. Most people are content at not sighting any armies of GoTW, or indeed any diplomats or anything else, but for the Consul its raising a nagging concern.

He cant seem to shake the feeling of something daunting, intimidating, something BAD will happen soon, brought to bear by the comfortness the Allies of War have attained.

He decides to pass a message onto the Senate, who will in turn forward it to the Captains, Majors, Knights and all other ranks, advising that training will now last for 2 hours instead of one. This he will do when the days Court is finished, until then he settles back in his luxurious seat, and listens to the speaker as he details the first item on the agenda............
