coming soon- Quintus indepth battle reviewsthat's right everyone soon I will be giving detailed reviews of histories battles. I have a few to start with and I will be posting it say within a few weeks. Also if you have suggestions pm me and I would be glad to review that battle.
I do this as an aspiring historian, so I will try to do my best : D
The reviews would go like this.
A detailed description of the battle, with my own way of stating it, not copy paste wikipedia, though I will use wikipedia as a guide, not a source. Then I will give my own opinions as to why one side was victorious and the other was bitterly defeated.
So come you knowers of battle, come and send your favourites, or your infamous to me, I will take them all : D

Hail!Sounds like an awesome Plan! :DHail Quintus!
How are you going? I am well! This sounds like a wonderful thing! I think the great battles to do is the Battle of Zama, the Battle of Cannae, the Battle of Thermopylae, the Battle of Marathon, the battles in the Gaul theatre which Julius Caesar fought, the battles of the fall of the roman empire would also be interesting versus the Goths, Ostrigoths, Vandals, Huns and such!
There are quite alot of suggestions I hope you enjoy doing it! I will be majoring in History most likely in my degree so I look forward seeing what you will write Feel free to place it in the Library of the Philosopher as well!
Kudos to you Quintus, and I look forward to these works of yours

next, and more detailed battle, is the battle of canna, trebia, and trasimene.
I considered taking the task of Hannibal's three battles into one, but I question whether a document of that size could even fit onto this format, so rather than risk it, I will do each battle individually, starting with Trebia, then Trasimene, then the creme de la resistance Cannae

Hey mate,
These sound abosolutely awesome, I can't wait. If I can suggest, I would reccomend doing some battles in the East and Asia such as the Battle of Carrhae and the loss of Crassuss's legions and also the Jewish uprising. Hope you carry on doing this, good luck!
